Heat pumps are becoming an increasingly popular solution for heating pool water. Thanks to their energy efficiency and advanced technology, they provide comfortable swimming conditions throughout the year. For the 2025 season, Microwell introduces the new SILVER INVERTER PRO. Let’s take a look at its key features.
Year-Round Operation
A high-quality heat pump like the Silver Inverter Pro (SIP) can operate even in extreme conditions down to -20°C, thanks to its specialized winter equipment. This is not just marketing—it's real hardware and software integration that allows the heat pump to handle even the most extreme conditions. The system can heat pool or spa water up to +40°C all year round. On the other hand, if cooling is needed, it can lower the water temperature to +7°C, making it ideal for sports or cold plunge pools. With both heating and cooling functions, you can set the perfect water temperature for any season.
Sufficient Capacity
The heating capacity of a heat pump is one of its most important parameters. A properly sized unit ensures fast water heating while optimizing energy consumption. The required capacity depends on pool size and climate conditions. The Silver Inverter Pro is available in five different models, covering the needs of small residential pools to large hotel pools. The available capacities range from 9kW to 31kW.

Compact and Split Design
Modern heat pumps come in a compact design, making installation easier and saving space. The split version allows flexible placement of the indoor and outdoor units, resulting in quieter operation and higher efficiency.
-
Compact version: Simply place it in position, connect water and electricity, and it’s ready to use.
-
Split version: Requires additional connection of the refrigeration circuit using copper piping, similar to air conditioning units. However, this version offers a significant advantage—the outdoor unit can be installed up to 30 meters from the pool, allowing it to be hidden behind a house, trees, or a garden shed.
Titanium Heat Exchanger
At the heart of the Silver Inverter Pro is its heat exchanger, which efficiently transfers heat to the water. The titanium heat exchanger is highly resistant to corrosion and pool chemicals, ensuring long-term durability. It is suitable for water treated with salt, chlorine, UV lamps, or electrolysis. Microwell offers a 5-year warranty on the titanium heat exchanger.
Winter Equipment
To ensure reliable operation in cold weather, the SIP heat pump includes automatic defrosting and freeze protection. These features guarantee smooth performance throughout the year, even in extreme -20°C temperatures. The system also features GoldFin technology, a hydrophobic coating on the air heat exchanger fins, which reduces ice formation and speeds up defrosting compared to standard protective coatings.
Smart Control (RS-485, WiFi, PV Ready)
The Silver Inverter Pro is equipped with smart technology, allowing for remote control via WiFi or RS-485 interface. Additionally, the PV Ready function enables efficient use of solar energy, helping to reduce operational costs.

Durable Aluminum Construction
High-quality materials are essential for long-lasting performance and reliability. The Silver Inverter Pro features a brushed aluminum casing, providing excellent weather resistance for stable operation even in demanding conditions. The aluminum construction also has an attractive “champagne” finish, making it a stylish addition to any garden.
Conclusion
When selecting a heat pump, many factors must be considered, and it's great to have multiple options. The Silver Inverter Pro combines performance, durability, and smart features, ensuring efficient and comfortable year-round pool use.
